An elegant fence built with 4×4 rough sawn western red cedar posts. All interior cross rails and top cap are 2×4 rough sawn western red cedar which enhances the strength and longevity of the fence. Unlike the Batten Board fence, the pickets on this fence do not overlap. We typically build these fences with alternating picket widths, full 6” & 4” wide western red cedar pickets, with 1/8”-1/4” gaps between the pickets. There is also the design flexibility to use lattice or hog-panel wire in the top section of the fence.
